Intermittent Transmissions

a new day dawns, but i will never forget.
i'll remember everyone lost, and i'll cherish those i still have. i'll harbor no bad feelings for cowards and fanatics. i'll just remember, honor, and cherish.

I woke up at 4:30 am this morning. My body still insists that it's really 5:30. so, unable to fall asleep again i looked out my window. I rubbed my eyes, yup... sure enough i wasn't seeing things. there really was a bridge floating between two tug-boats on the hudson river.
I quickly ran to the only window that opens more then an inch and snapped a few pics... none were really that sharp. at 5am there's not much light...
but here it is... the first time i've ever seen a bridge floating on a river. thought I'd share. hope you like it.

Happy Halloween

I woke up a little later then "the morning blues" but this time of the morning is still just as "fun" to experience. I love the way the sun casts long shadows and a golden hue is added to everything...
Directly out my window there where no clouds, nothing dramatic at all, so
I literally was "out my window" to get this shot. out and turned left, or east... This was one of those lucky shots. I couldn't see the view finder, and I couldn't really make any adjustments. I took this one, then previewed it in the camera. I was happy with it but wanted to take some more shots. took about 10 total, but I chose the first one... isn't it always that way with lucky shots? you can never recreate it just right. the only thing I did in photoshop was straighten the horizon and crop a bunch…

I know these are all pretty much the same picture, but i'm always awestruck when i see the sun reflecting of the buildings... today it was a little brighter then normal.
