Butterflies in Black and White...
I actually did all this in I-Photo... It's pretty good software, but nothing like PS.

again, edited in I-Photo... i "jacked" the saturation up... WAY up.

Church on the side of the road on our way to La Paz Watefalls.

I have no idea what kind of bird this is, but it's cool lookin.

on the other side of those trees is a tiny beach, and then the ocean.
between the tree and the ocean there's also a tiny landing strip for tiny planes.

i did a lot to this in ps.
this is the pool at the "lodge" in tortuguero, costa rica. taken the last night of the trip... it was such a peaceful, quiet place... until 4:30 in the morning when the howler monkies started... well... howling... but it's more like a scream. A blood curdling, bone chilling, dream smashing, scream... with a broken snooze button.

motherhood.
on the way back to the hotel our tour driver noticed this cow had just had a baby. Some may think this picture is gross because of the hanging placenta, but i think otherwise.

An emergin butterfly... so cool.
until i went to costa rica i had no idea that when butterflies emerge, their abdomens are filled with "juices" that they pump into their wings and also pump out of themselves. i happened to catch both.
